As I was walking
I met a woman crying
She seemed so hopelessly in despair
I started to pass by
But to hear her cry
I couldn’t just leave her sitting there.
I sat down beside her
On a bench in the park
What has caused you so much distress
She told me her story
How she lost her child
How her son died and was just laid to rest.
God killed my child
He was all that I had
Why would God take my son from me
He promised us love
and divine protection
Was it His will that this all had to be.
Oh I’m so angry
God broke his promise
Please give me just one answer why
I feel so alone
He’s broken my home
Why did God allow my son to die.
I looked at this woman
With tears in her eyes
As I tried to make a comforting smile
God’s on the throne
Your son was not alone
God was right there next to your child.
Remember God gave up
His only child
God truly knows the meaning of life
God didn’t kill your child
He actually saved your child
By the blood of our Lord Jesus Christ.
We are never alone
We are in God’s care
Your child’s now in a safer place
He will live on forever
Keep him in your prayer
