I felt the Lord's hand upon my shoulder today gently guiding me to write this article that He placed so strongly in my heart. The enemy has tried to stop me as evidenced by not allowing my "first article to go through" that I wrote, and I didn't save it, therefore it was lost! However, I have news for the enemy - nothing stops the Children of God! So, I will attempt to rewrite my article with the help of the Holy Spirit to the best of my recollection. Having prefaced the above, I will get to the basis of my article.
This past week a dear friend of ours was diagnosed with stage 3 stomach and esophageal cancer. After delivering the disturbing news, my husband and I were reeling in the aftermath from this shocking report. Our friend didn't appear to be shattered, he was relatively calm to say the least, however I feel it was a veiled attempt at disguising his inner anguish over the news.
He has a belief in God but not to the extent of belief as my husband and I, but it is a good start for this man who has strayed from the Lord in times past. As our conversation came to a close, we asked if he would like us to pray for him to which he answered with an enthusiastic "yes." So, pray we did. We asked the Lord, our great Physician to bring as His vessels the best doctors to take care of our friend, and to guide them in the best treatment plan for our friend. And, that if it was His will, that he completely cure our friend who will be a living testimony to His glory and exalt His name on high in the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.
We know for a fact that others have been cured, and spontaneous healings happen each day with the grace of God, and His mighty hand. And, personally we know of one friend who lives in NC who five years ago was diagnosed with stage 4 liver cancer, and was told after numerous diagnostic tests the words which none of us ever want to hear, "Put your affairs in order you are looking at three months, six the most. I am sorry."
Well, this man didn't accept the news and he went before the throne of God and asked for His mercy and for His hands to heal Him in the name of Jesus Christ. And, he truly believed and went to a service and was anointed by the Pastor and elders who canceled the diagnosis in Jesus name and asked for a healing.
Three months later he went for a routine check-up, and they took an MRI and the doctor was filled with incredulity as he called in one doctor after the other. Well several diagnostic tests later, the doctor was amazed and stated, "this happens sometimes, but your liver is completely healed you are cancer free. It cannot be explained, it just happens." Well it doesn't just happen, GOD MAKES IT HAPPEN. In the name of Jesus Christ, Praise the Lord Amen.
This friend of ours from NC is a living testimony to the Lord as he exalts His name on high and is an inspiration to those who are in similar situations as he once was. The Lord is using him to provide hope to others.
So in closing we won't accept the diagnosis of our friend right now, we will all pray to our Father for a cure in the name of Jesus, if it is His will. He is our great Physician and there is nothing too big or too small for our Father to handle.
For those of you reading this article who find themselves in a similar situation facing a health crisis, or perhaps have a loved one going through this kind of scenario, never give up. Walk by faith, and believe. When you are down reach for His hem and He will lift you up, He will never forsake you, or leave you. He loves us. He is our Father, our King of Kings, our Creator, our Fortress, our Savior, our God, our Lord, our Adonai, our Yeshua, our everything. He is the one who loves us more than anyone else in this entire world. He knew us before we were in our mother's womb, and He loved us before we were born, and loves us now and always will. He is our everything, our provider for all our needs. He is our Redeemer, He is love. He is who we should turn to in good and bad times, He knows our heart and loves us regardless of our sins. He loved the world so much He sent His only begotten son. (John 3:16 KJV)
So for all of you in need of prayer, may our Father hear them, and if it is His will may they be answered. I love you Abba Father, and I thank you for all that you are, all that you have done, and all that you continue to do for your children. Blessed be your name forever.
Peace, Blessings and God's love,
Jeremiah 1:5 NKJV "Before I formed you in the womb I knew you; before you were born I sanctified you..."
