==============================================================
Prov 3:5-10 Trust in the Lord and it will be health to thy navel and marrow to thy bones. Vs. 5-7 is trusting God and then Vs 8 -10 is our health and wealth will prosper. The health to our navel and marrow to our bones is God talking about our blood. When God is talking about our navel, it our umbilical cord which is where we got our nutrients from when we were in our mother’s womb. The Word of God is like nutrients to us. God brings about good nutrition for us so we have good health.
I Tim 4:8 Paul says there is little profit in bodily exercise. Exercise will only take us so far. It is not the cure-all for complete and total health for our bodies. Some people exercise daily our of fear. They are afraid that a sickness will come upon them. Fear is sin. Some folks get all into nutrition as the pathway to health. They are afraid of what happened to a family member and are scared it will happen to them. Some people don’t eat meat because they are afraid. They have fear of sickness and disease instead of having faith in God.
Rom 14:2 One believeth he can eat all things and one just eats herbs.
Luke 24:41 Jesus ate meat after He rose from the dead.
John 21:9 Jesus prepared a fish-fry for the disciples after his resurrection.
There is no restriction on what we can eat. If we eat the way the Bible says-eat in Faith, then the meat or whatever we eat won’t bother us.
James 4:8 Draw nigh to God and He will draw nigh to us. Moses was in the presence of God for a long when he was given the ten commandments. Moses didn’t eat anything. Moses was 120 yrs old and had good eyesight and good health. He drew nigh to God. So when we draw nigh to God, He will draw nigh to us and we will have good health. We will also have all our needs met so we can be a blessing to others too. We must believe God for all these things.
For a person to live sickness free he must be close to God. In the scripture James 4:8, right after it says to get near to God it says for us to cleanse our hands and purify our hearts.
II Cor 6:17-18 Come our from among them and be separate from sinners. When we are in Christ the devil can’t touch us!
II Cor 7:1 Having God’s promises, we need to cleanse ourselves. Once we do this, we can draw near to God. God wants to bless us and the faucet is turned on but some “stuff’ is blocking the flow of blessings. We must cleanses ourselves to unblock the pipe of blessings.
Prov 3:8 The “It” is the pathway to divine heath. “It” is Prov 3:5-7. If we apply these verses to our lives, our body will have health. Divine Health. In these verses, nothing is said of exercise, diet or medication.
Step 1: Trust God. Cleanse ourselves of wrong thinking. Prov 3:5 We can’t have divine health until we change our thinking. We must have a renewed mind. The bible says to trust in the Lord so we have to believe in God. We must not think the family illness will come onto us.
God is greater than high blood pressure. He can heal every sickness! Its better to be prepared before any sickness comes our way by being in God’s presence. Then we will have divine health in our physical body. Trust in the Lord with all thine heart and lean not to thy own understanding.
Step 2: Submit our will to God Prov 3:6 In all our ways acknowledge him and He will direct our paths. Get out of our stubborn thinking, submit to God and sickness and disease will flee from us.! God is in us and sickness and disease is afraid of us! The Spirit of God that raised Jesus Christ from the dead is in our body and quickening every cell of our body. The Spirit renews our youth! Abraham’s Sarah was 90 years old and the King wanted her! This 90 year old woman was looking good! Hot!
Step 3: Prov 3:7 Be not wise in our own eyes, fear the Lord and depart from evil. To walk in health we can’t be laid back. We must seek God, fear God and all the blessing, including divine health, will come to us. We must be diligent in our walk with God. When the spirit nags us about something we are watching on TV, listen to the spirit. We must have the fear of the Lord so we can depart from evil. We must control our tongue and not talk criticism and doubt. We must not have evil talking-doubt and unbelief.
I Peter 3:10-11 If we love life and want to see good days, we will keep our tongue from evil. We need the Holy Ghost to control our tongue. Our tongue can kindle a little fire that will later turn into a blazing inferno! Our tongue has a lot to do with our physical body’s health and the dollars in our wallet!
We must preserve our peace with God. Go after it! Peace with God and peace with men.
Prov 16:7 When a man’s ways please the Lord, He will make his enemies to be at peace with him.
AMEN
