A promise of forgiveness;
A promise of reprieve!
A promise from the Father,
To a heart that knows to grieve.
A promise of redemption;
A promise of the cross…
A promise of God’s presence,
To help us through each loss!
A prayer made through sorrows;
A prayer made through tears…
To calm the restless spirit,
And soothe the many fears.
A prayer that the heart sends,
To light the darkened path…
A prayer that the soul bears,
While facing dire wrath!
These words rise up to conquer;
The thoughts to touch a heart…
Emotions overwhelming!
A humble place to start.
To summon sacred angels,
This heart won’t cease to pray!
Storming heaven with every breath,
For hope and strength this day!
