Its really good to hear the first words that comes out of an infant's mouth, the child will not be clear at first and will take time to get the clarity of words, however we understand this and know that there is a certain time period to grow up to a stage of clarity and perfection and its normal, however if it goes beyond that to an alarming measure its not normal, it needs attention.
"Then we will no longer be infants, tossed back and forth by the waves, and blown here and there by every wind of teaching and by the cunning and craftiness of people in their deceitful scheming. Instead, speaking the truth in love, we will grow to become in every respect the mature body of him who is the head, that is, Christ. " Ephesians 4:14-15 (NIV)
The new life in Christ is a must for everyone, however equally important is also the growth, as a child grows from a stage of infancy to adulthood, so the Lord expects us to grow daily in our spiritual life, to grow in His vision and character.
As our earthly parents have great expectations from us and desire to see us grow and live blessedly so does the Lord expects from us.
To grow we need good food (the Word of God), good schooling (blessed Church fellowship) and lots of time spent on our self improvement (our personal time of Prayer & Bible study).
Having grown up we need to put it in application and live what we know is right and be perfect examples of children of God in this world.
Everyone would be concerned to take us to a doctor if we are physically ill or malnutirioned, however does anyone see the spiritual dryness? does anyone know that the hopeless state, the rebellious behaviour, the urge to do wrong is all because of the deep spiritual dryness within?
There is much beyond just living in this flesh, we are also a spiritual being and we need to grow up spiritually too.
The more we grow in the Lord the more we will be like Him and thus we will be truly blessed when from within spiritually.
God Bless,
Abraham
