Struggles come when God is working in us,
They come when we are learning to trust,
Into every life some trials must come,
Leading us to God's arms and safely home,
We struggle to learn to rest in Him,
We struggle when life brings trouble so grim,
Better to suffer for doing good,
Than to feel pain for not doing what we should,
Jesus told us days like these would come to all,
All those who serve Him and faithfully call,
When the pressures of this world get you down,
Just hold on tight to the Savior and the Crown,
Lay it down lovingly at His feet,
So that the enemy you can soundly defeat,
Don't sound retreat keep going and stay strong,
No matter how hard the road or how long,
There will be giants to defeat and face,
Yet if we truly lean on His grace,
They will not stand and we can enter in,
So hide His promises faithfully within,
Your heart so that His love will not depart,
He who began a good work will not stop,
He will not let any of His people drop,
Not one of His little ones will He lose,
So trust in Him and His Son choose,
The only work He has given us is to believe,
That Jesus is His Son and unto Him forever cleave.
