Have you ever had a day when life was full of pain and doubt,
When circumstances left so little you could smile about?
A day that started off all wrong (the rooster crowed 'off-key'!)
Your exit (from the bed's 'wrong side') confusd your injured knee.
While 'giving praise' for this new day (you didn't see the door!)
Your big toe found the crack beneath (it's nail lies on the floor).
The bloody carpet tells the tale (the pain shoots up your leg!)
The ceiling looms twixt you and God, yet, "Lord, what'snext?" You beg.
"Be patient, child, and face THIS day with faith and NEVER doubt,
The Calvary Way left naught THAT day for ME to smile about."
