On line media has one advantage over the hand-held newspaper; ink does not rub off onto your hands. Hate that when it happens! I have flipped through a newspaper or circular while riding in the car; at the conclusion, I see telltale signs of black ink on my hands and am afraid to touch anything. I search for a tissue or paper towel and rid myself of the offensive smudges.
Attitudes and behaviors can also rub off on the least suspecting. I resided in many areas and was amazed at prevalent accents, pronunciations and phrases. Ask locals how to pronounce Ponce De Leon Florida or Talladega, Alabama. The Florida Panhandle vicinity leaves the “s” off cents when quoting a price. Multitudes tag the “s” on Wal Mart when talking about a trip to the closest Supercenter. Yup, it rubs off on you…
“He who walks with the wise grows wise, but a companion of fools suffers harm (Proverbs 13:20 NIV).” Mother and Daddy were not trying to pick out our friends; they were protecting us. They knew that our character was either being built or crumbling through relationships. It was unavoidable; something was bound to rub off on us. Our heavenly Father continues to compel us to choose wisely.
If you died today, are you absolutely certain that you would go to heaven? You can be! TRUST JESUS NOW
