A PASSING CLOUD
If there were no broken hearts
If there were no pains
If all I did went smooth to the end
And I had no fear for tomorrow’s odd,
There would not have been a heart to mend
Nor a need for God
Then it would have been
Very hard to live
And much, much harder to die.
INSPIRATION: He said unto them, let us pass over unto the other side… and there arose a great storm of winds and the waves beat into the ship so that it was now full. Mark 4:35-37
Pains, discouragement sickness, disappointment... These are just a few reasons we all depend on God. Why did God allow them to face the challenge of the storm and the possibility of drowning in the swelling waters? Could it be it was a lesson in dependence and prayer? How God must cherish our dependence even in the absence of these odds.
He said elsewhere, “my strength is made perfect in your weakness.” The implications been that the weakness must be revealed and it takes a storm to do that sometimes. Thank God at least for once, we the fearful and weakly qualify for something – God’s strength.
Your storm will soon be over
