Four Eyes
By: Rick L. King

1Co 13:12 For now we see through a glass, darkly; but then face to face: now I know in part; but then shall I know even as also I am known.
Eze 12:2 Son of man, thou dwellest in the midst of a rebellious house, which have eyes to see, and see not; they have ears to hear, and hear not: for they are a rebellious house.
Ac 28:26 Saying, Go unto this people, and say, Hearing ye shall hear, and shall not understand; and seeing ye shall see, and not perceive:
The word says that we see through a glass darkly. We can only see so much from a natural perspective. Yet, there is a spiritual perspective. There are things going on in the spirit realm that many dismiss, yet are more real than we know. In order to see in the spirit, we must get our eyes trained to see in the spirit.
I was thinking about the ant. A small insect that has such limited vision and lives its life in a small area and really doesn’t even probably know that there is so much more. It only knows what it can see. If a human walked past, would they even know as a human is so large in comparison? If a storm were coming or they were crossing a street and a car was coming, would they even know? In the same light, we as humans see only what we can see in the natural. If things are coming by that would kill us, how could we know? With two eyes we are so limited in our vision. We are just like the ant in that there are things so much larger than we, that we do not see or are unaware of. God on the other hand can see all things. His eyes roam to and fro and He is aware of everything that is happening. Because we don’t see it, does that make it unreal?
Man has this tendency to always protect himself. His protection is limited as to what he knows or can see. God can see what things that we need protected from. If for no other reason, being able to see things through God's eyes would be a major protection to us.
We tend to just trust in our own two eyes, but God has two eyes that we can use also. If we learn to get into the spirit and allow things to be seen from a spiritual view, we will see so many more things. I think of the stories I have heard when the enemy thinks they have a person but then all of the sudden they see an army behind the one that they are wanting to kill, they just run. I think the reason for this article is to maybe help others to know that there is a world that we don’t see in the natural that is more real than the one we see. So much happens in the spirit realm that is actually the cause of what manifests in the natural realm. If we could just learn to see we would understand how to pray or do warfare and prevent many things from taking place.
Isaiah 42:
18 Hear, ye deaf; and look, ye blind, that ye may see.
19 Who is blind, but my servant? or deaf, as my messenger that I sent? who is blind as he that is perfect, and blind as the LORD’S servant?
20 Seeing many things, but thou observest not; opening the ears, but he heareth not.
The Lord truly desires for His kids to hear and see in the spirit. We are a spirit being and God desires us to be able to use our spiritual senses but we must learn to use them. I pray that each of us will allow the Holy Spirit to open our eyes and ears so that we will be in tune with the Holy Spirit. Our life will take on so much more meaning and purpose if we would allow Him to do this. If we would just draw near to God, He would draw near to us.
Let this be our prayer. Father in Jesus name I ask that you open our eyes that we may see, and open our ears that we may hear what the spirit is saying and endeavoring to do. In Jesus name, Amen!
Four eyes are so much better than two! Two heads are better than one. We can join with God’s eyes and head if we choose too.
