I saw him before he saw me.
I was hiding behind a sycamore tree
He knew I was there but never looked my way
So I decided not to leave I decided to stay
He didn't have any teeth, just two big fangs
And claws that cut the tree where he hangs
His claws were sharp as sharp as could be
With great big eyes I knew he could see
I shivered as I looked at his big round eyes.
I knew right then this creature was wise
He had horns like a devil on top of his head.
With an evil stare that filled me with dread
What was this monster in the forest I'd found?
Then his head started spinning, round and round
I gasped at the sight and started to run
The night started falling and so did the sun
This monster could fly, I didn't stand a chance
His claws in my hair were only a branch
I tripped and fell when he let out a howl
And to my surprise it was only an owl
