Ask a little child who was playing and has almost scattered the whole room, "Who spread all these papers here", even though he has done it, he would sweetly shake his head and wave his hand saying, "I don't know" and pointing towards his elder sister would say"She did it, she did it.", that's who we are...
Probably this behaviour exists in us even when we are grown up and thus we fail to accept our mistakes and try to blame others...
Yet after having successfully blamed others we have not completely resolved the problem, for the problem is not to escape from the consequences of the wrong we have done, the problem is something that lies within us, the heart, desire and attitude for doing wrong, for having escaped once by telling a lie, does not guarantee that we will never ever commit that same mistake again, a now a permanent fix to this is a change within..
James states this clearly when inspired by the Holy Spirit he said about the temptations we face in life and for which we try to blame God as to why He tempted us, for God never tempts anyone....
"But each one is tempted when he is drawn away by his own desires and enticed." James 1:14 (NKJV)
Thus it is our own evil desires that opens the way for the devil to feed us with sinful habits and thus work out our own destruction...
Is there a way out from this ? Could we ever become a new person? where/to Whom shall we go to get this newness of life?
"Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new." 2 Corinthians 5:17 (NKJV)
Yes!!! Jesus Christ is the answer, to be in Him is the experiencing the newness and blessedness of life.
One can never be in a third category when such a category does not exists, we can be either with God or with the devil, no one can ever say that, "I am not with God, neither with the devil, I live on my own.", devil is very happy hearing such statement, for he knows that unknowingly that person is with him.
Dear One!!! Our life is precious and blessedness awaits us in Christ, the only thing we need to do is let Him lead us and in perfect submission follow Him.
We need a newness is life and Christ has done it for many, He has never failed for anyone and thus will not for you too.
God Bless,
Abraham
