The film Robot (Enthiran in Tamil) is a Tamil Science fiction film which was released worldwide on 1st October 2010. The film which became India’s most expensive film also made the largest worldwide opening. I have seen the movie many times in Tamil as well as Hindi and was always amazed at the volume of biblical truths that the movie brings out. I enumerate the truths in this article.
The first truth, If there is a creation, there has to be a creator. The Robot, Chitti was made by Dr. Vaseegaran after years of research. Likewise the world and in fact the entire universe was made by God. Everything that we see, both animate and inanimate, the sun, moon, planets, starts, the seas, the trees, all types of living beings were created by God over a period of six days. The Bible says that God saw that the creation was good. What God had created was breathtaking & beautiful beyond description. There are many such places in the world where tourists throng. The first person who went to the space “Yuri Gagarin” saw how beautiful our planet is while orbiting earth in the spaceship.

The second message Dr.Vaseegaran makes a Robot in his own likeness. Chitti resembles Dr.Vaseegaran. The Bible says God has made mankind in his own image. This is what distinguishes man from animals. The Bible says God made man out of the sand and blew his breath into him. God made man a tripartite being, man is a spirit, he has a soul and he lives in a body.
The third important message is there is a villain, there is Dr. Bohra who is waiting for an opportunity to make Chitti do what he wants, for destruction and making some quick money. The Bible calls him Satan. His purpose is to see that man is used for his plans & not that of the creator. In the movie Dr.Bohra is killed by Chitti but in real life Satan is alive & well. He is controlling the world.
The Fourth message Chitti version 2 has a red chip, a programming of Dr.Bohra. It is a fact that man who was originally made in the image of God now has a red chip. It is easier for man to do bad than to do good. Telling lies, cheating, breaking rules etc come naturally because man is in fallen state. He has a red chip inside of him. In the movie when chitti creates a mayhem, Dr.Vaseegaran took the responsibility to set things right. He came in the likeness of Chitti, Similarly Bible says that God came to the world as man to rescue him from his fallen state. He came to this world two thousand years ago as Jesus Christ. After the red chip is removed by Dr. Vaseegaran, Chitti was back to normal good self. The creator wants to save man from his fallen state but for that man should co-operate with God. If every person offers himself to God, he is ready to forgive him & bring him to his original state.
