“When I say, my bed shall comfort me, my couch shall ease my complaints; then thou scariest me with dreams, and terrifies me through visions.” Job 7:13-14
It was October 2004, I sat in my truck waiting for a group of woman from my church. We had previously arranged to go around the neighbor-hood and invite people to church and to share our faith. As I sat waiting, I began to read my bible and pray for the people we were going to meet that day. That's when I had this vision and today I have came to realize that it was a continuation and another piece of a puzzle to the earthquake dream I had in 1995. (See, The final cry!)
My vision: My spirit was taken into heaven, and I was surrounded by vast darkness in outter space. There was complete and total silence. As I hovered above the beautifully massive yet still earth.
Suddenly, like the striking of a match the entire earth was set ablaze and consumed by fire. The enormous flames were tumultuous like the ocean waves in a great hurricane and the heat was intensely scorching.
After that, I opened my eyes. I was deeply disturbed by what I had seen. My reaction was overwhelming fear because I knew man- kind would never survive this complete catastrophic inhalation.
However, I immediately received a comforting scripture from the Lord which gave me instant peace and reassurance, as described in the book of Daniel chapter 3:26- 29.
Just as, “Shadrack, Meshach and Abednego the fire had not harmed their bodies, nor was a hair of their heads singed; their robes were not scorched, and there was no smell of fire on them. Then I received an understanding in my heart saying, so it will be on "that day" with my sons and daughters. “
Because of the Lord’s great love we are not consumed,
for his compassions never fail.
They are new every morning;
great is your faithfulness.
I say to myself, “The Lord is my portion;
therefore I will wait for him.”
The Lord is good to those whose hope is in him,
to the one who seeks him;
it is good to wait quietly
for the salvation of the Lord.
The sinners in Zion are terrified; trembling grips the godless; who of us can dwell with the consuming fire? Who of us can dwell with consuming fire? Who of us can dwell with everlasting burning? He who walks righteously and speaks what is right, who rejects gain from extortion and keeps his hand from accepting bribes, who stops his ears against plots of murder and shuts his eyes against contemplating evil. This is the man who will dwell on the heights whose refuge will be the mountain fortress. His bread will be supplied, and water will not fail him. Isaiah 33:14
But the day of the Lord will come like a thief. The heavens will disappear with a roar; the elements will be destroyed by fire, and the earth and everything in it will be laid bare. Since everything will be destroyed in this way, what kind of people ought you to be? You ought to live holy and godly lives.
As you look forward to the day of God and speed its coming. That day will bring about the destruction of the heavens by fire, and the elements will melt in the heat. But in keeping with His promise we are looking forward to a new heaven and a new earth, the home of righteous. So then, dear friends, since you are looking forward to this, make every effort to be found spotless, blameless and at peace with Him. 2 Peter 3 10-13
In 1 Thessalonians 5: 9 it says, “For God has not destined us for wrath, but to obtain salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ’”
Know matter what happens to us in life or death, we need not fear because our God loves and cares for us, His children. I had a final vision, which I will share as to why, He cares so much... Its because.... HE IS LOVE.
