hat do people see in you? What is the first thing that comes to mind when their eyes fall on you? Do they see a self-righteous, full-of-himself kind of person? Or do they see a moody, unpleasant fellow who is always carrying a Bible around? Or do they see a sweet, pleasant, always-smiling person whose presence constantly lifts the spirits of others around him or her?
O
ne thing you should always have in mind is that people are always watching you, especially when you think no one is. Having called yourself a Christian, the eyes following your every move are even more vigilant. People have a general perception of Christians being joyful, gentle, loving, self-controlled, forgiving, patient, kind and peaceful; and they watch you to find out if you portray all these qualities. If you ask me, that is quite a character to uphold but indeed, people are assessing you wherever you are. Nevertheless, it is our responsibility to ensure that such a perfect reputation is never tarnished.
B
e the light which people see in the midst of darkness which engulfs this world. Let your smile cheer up someone’s heart throughout the day. Let people smell the sweet fragrance of Christ around you which will ultimately draw them to the love of your life, Jesus Christ.
Be careful with your words because out of the abundance of the heart, the mouth speaks. Let your words be seasoned with salt so that people will be blessed with the words of your mouth. If you are careful with your words to others, they will also do likewise.
C
onduct yourself in such a way that people would not find fault with you. People will respect you when you first respect yourself. Dress neither in a way to provoke their lust nor to disgust people but win people’s admiration by your outfit. Trust me, when people respect you, they would always want to be around you and you can seize this opportunity to bring them to the Light of the world, Jesus Christ.
Above all, do not forget to be in pure in heart for only such shall see God and be holy because your God is holy.
If you died today, are you absolutely certain that you would go to heaven? You can be! TRUST JESUS NOW
