"The more we get together"
Not avoiding worshiping together as some do but spurring (to urge incite or stimulate) each other on-Hebrews 10:25 TM
The nursery rhythm entitled the more we get together has recently resurfaced in my life, mainly due to it being played as my son swings in his swing. It's the first song in a series of happy, soothing melodies. The song itself is actually quite simple, having only four verses that repeat themselves.
The more we get together, the happier we'll be (which is the second verse and also my favorite) describes what Christ was thinking when Hebrews 10:25 came about. In 1 Thessalonians 5:11 the Bible says therefore encourage one another and build each other up. Now ask yourself what better place than church, Bible study and or any other gathering of the His people is there for us to encourage and build one another up?
We USE to take sweet counsel together; within Godís house (Psalm 55:14)-don't let this phrase become one of familiarity!
