So, obviously everyone is still here and the earth hasn't come to a violent end, although there is some serious volcanic activity happening in Iceland right now. This shouldn't come as any surprise though, if you have been following along now for the past few months.
Now that all the excitement over the false rapture prediction is over, it is paramount that we as Christians don't fall into the devils trap of 'booing too loud'. Camping has made a serious error in judgment and will be held accountable for leading so many of God's children astray with his false prophecies. We must remember that judgment is for God alone. It is our job now to admonish and guide those lead astray back to the Light of Christ.
I never could really find an estimated number of 'parishaners' Camping has, but with a multi-million dollar radio program I can imagine it's quite a lot. Many of these people have given up everything based off of Camping's teachings and are going to be very disillusioned and jaded, many are going to scorn Christianity, some are going to harden their hearts and will never know Jesus as they should have.
Faithful believer, we are going to have to stand up to the wave of apostasy that is going to result from Camping's error. This new wave of apostasy doesn't come as any surprise either: Jesus warns of it in Matthew 24, along with false witnesses and prophets, immediately before he tells us that even HE knows not the hour that God executes the Finale to His Great and Awesome Plan.
It is impossible to say who will be caught up in the first rapture of the church, before the terrible times of tribulation, but there will be many who will be left behind to endure the last 10 years or so of Earth. This is going to be a hellish period in time and believe me you aren't going to want to be around for that.
