Numbers 22:28 (NIV)
Then the LORD opened the donkey's mouth, and she said to Balaam, "What have I done to you to make you beat me these three times?"
Hmm DYRYBT sounds just like ribit, so which does the frog really say? Is the frog telling us something? Well why not? In Numbers we have a talking donkey, on TV we have had a talking Horse, Mr. Ed, we had My Mother the Car, she could talk she was a 1928 Porter. Yogi Bear talks, Scooby Doo Talks and many others. Enough silliness though, maybe the frog has an important message for us.
One of the Elders at our church Don Nickens speaks fluent frog and he knows exactly what they are saying. I was at an Elders meeting one Sunday morning that the Ministers were invited to. Don told us the amazing message from the frog. He told us exactly what the frog is telling us. He said it was the same message that the Elders have been asking us for months now. I was amazed at the wisdom and insight of the frog.
Well enough suspense, Don explained to us the frog actually says DYRYBT. And being able to speak fluent frog and spending much time in the woods Don explained the exact interpretation of DYRYBT; it is Did you read your bible today? Imagine just as Balaam’s Donkey spoke wisdom to Balaam the frog asks; did you read your Bible today?
Well Don did use the acronym DYRYBT and I just heard the rest in my head. Figured this just made for better reading. Thanks Don for this beautiful interpretation. So all that being said the frog has a Question for you today; DYRYBT?
God Bless
