Have You Ever Felt Like You Were Strawberry?

Acts 2:21(NIV)
And everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.

I am a big ice cream eater, I love the stuff. My favorite is Hagan Daz caramel cone, okay I like all ice cream. But thatís an another story. Have you ever had Neapolitan ice cream? That is vanilla, chocolate and strawberry. I donít know about you but when the ice cream is almost gone that means only strawberry remains in my box. Strawberry is very overlooked and doesnít get the credit it deserves. I say three cheers for strawberry. Hmm, do you think strawberry feels left out, over looked, ignored and alone?

Well as a child when I was with other kids, I always felt like strawberry. As I grew as a teen, you guessed it strawberry. Even into young adulthood strawberry. I felt alone, left out, ignored and sometimes even picked on. Strawberry has had a rough time of it. Most of my life I have wanted to be chocolate or vanilla not strawberry. I tried everything to appear chocolate and vanilla to know avail, everyone could tell I was strawberry.

I even asked God to make me chocolate or vanilla and remove me from a life doomed to being strawberry. You know what? God loves strawberry. If he were dipping a bowl of ice cream he would take a level scoop of chocolate, vanilla and strawberry. Then he might even mix it all together with his spoon. God loves all flavors. He has no favorite flavor. Now I know this isnít quite biblical, but it does say in Acts 2:21: And everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved. God will save everyone who calls on the name of the Lord. He loves everyone. He has never changed me to chocolate, vanilla or even Hagen Daz caramel cone. God loves us, he will save everyone who calls on the name of the Lord, even strawberry. You know what? I bet He even loves pistachio.

God Bless
