When we ask God to heal us, we want the pain to go away, we want the disease to be gone, we want the world to be right again. I believe that God heals, you may be living with a chronic illness like me, or maybe your disease is termanal, but that doesn't mean God hasn't healed you.
I live with type one diabetes, a disease that has no cure and no known cause. I wear and insulin pump and put a new pump site on using a needle every three days, on nights like tonight I have put in 3 sites, every single one hurt, every single one bled when I took it out, and every time I removed the teflon tube from my body I had to put another one in.
On nights like to night, I have trouble believing that God has healed me. But then I think maybe, He has saved me from an even deeper sorrow. Such as not knowing Him as well, not depending on Him for every moment of my day.
Dear Lord,
If I didn't have this,
I would lookmy best.
If I didn't have this,
I wouldn't need more rest.
If I didn't have this,
my friends would know what I was going through,
If I didn't have this,
I wouldn't be talking to you.
Maybe God is not so concerned with the outward man, "For [the LORD does] not [see] as man sees; for man looks at the outward appearance, but the LORD looks at the heart." Sam 16:7b

Even if you die tommorow, if you know God He has healed your soul, He has changed you. And wether He keeps you alive, or take you home He is healing you!
I can live with type 1 diabetes, I can live with JOY! because God has healed my soul!!! He has taught me to forgive, to be compassionate, and not to judge others. GOD HAS HEALED ME and I will praise him for my BLESSINGS!
