A child memorized a poem
she said it in the church
on the steps of the stage
Everyone clapped, mother and daddy
were proud, the child was five year old
As the child grew, she asks Jesus
to come into her heart and stay
She wanted to when souls
but wasn't sure how
Then she got older - the child was still
there but the teenager lived
Life became confusing
Choices were made
mostly wrong choices
As years passed the woman
remembers the child, the poems
and her parents pride
The child and woman come together
There are still souls to be won.
