Christianity: the Religion of the Second Chance

Christianity has been the “religion of choice” of most Americans since the first English settlers arrived in Jamestown, Virginia in 1607. However, many postmodern Americans have chosen to follow the tenets of Neo-pagan religions and to worship their pagan gods. As a result, Christians in America have become “second-rate citizens” and “enemies of the state” in the eyes of these false-god believers. In fact, Christians have been categorized as insensitive, intolerant, egotistical, and unpatriotic. Therefore, it is this categorization that has caused them to be persecuted for their religious beliefs, even from the United States government. Of course, other religious groups, based on political correctness and the obvious non-Christian hatred for Jesus Christ, have been given a “free ride.” But, unfortunately, it is permissible to offend Christians and their moral value system in postmodern America.
However, why have Christians been placed on the religious “bully block” in America? Basically, it is a satanic attack against Christianity to discredit it, to force it to become an underground movement, and ultimately to eliminate the message of the Lord Jesus Christ openly in the United States. But, at the same time, it is difficult to accept that America’s elected leaders would turn their backs on Christianity, the religion of the Founding Fathers. Needless to say, they have, especially since many postmodern members of all branches of government believe in secular humanism which promotes man’s abilities over God’s divine order. Also, according to Christian Answers.Net, secular humanism can be defined as a religious worldview based on atheism, naturalism, evolution, and ethical relativism. Therefore, could this renewed interest in secular humanism and other false religions and the decline of interest in Christianity and Jesus Christ be the reason that America is currently in an economic, religious, political, and social tailspin?
But, regardless of increased acceptance of paganistic and atheistic religions in America, they provide no chance for followers to have their sins forgiven, especially since some religions do not even accept the fact that mankind has a sin nature. As a result, Christianity is the only religion that gives non-Christians a myriad of chances to ask forgiveness for their sins. In Matthew 18: 21-35, Jesus and the Apostle Peter have a discourse on “forgiveness.” Peter asked Jesus how many times should a person forgive someone who has done him wrong. Peter felt that seven times was enough, but Jesus suggested that seven times seventy (490) times would be even better. But, in actuality, Jesus was saying that a person should be forgiven as many times as he or she asks because Jesus forgives men and women as many times as they ask for forgiveness. God will also forget any sins that He forgives. In fact, according to Micah 7:19, “He will turn again, he will have compassion upon us; he will subdue our iniquities; and thou wilt cast all their sins into the depths of the sea.” Also, in Psalms 103: 11-12, King David said, “For as the heaven is high above the earth, so great is his mercy toward them that fear him. As far as the east is from the west, so far hath he removed our transgressions from us.” Therefore, Christianity is the “religion of the second chance.”
Unfortunately, the religion of Islam does not give its followers chance after chance to amend their sinful ways. In fact, followers of Islam who commit sins must face harsh draconian-type consequences while they are still here on the earth. However, it is unimaginable that anyone would follow the dictates of Islam, which is legalistic in nature, but millions of people worldwide are accepting the tenets of Islam over the tenets of Christianity, the “religion of the second chance.” As a result, followers of Islam are forced to live under the dictates of Sharia Law. But, what is Sharia Law? According to Syed Kamran Mirza in his article entitled “Islamic Sharia Law in Brief,” Sharia Law dictates how Muslims should live in every area of their lives, from politics to the food they eat. Of course, this means that Muslims are controlled by a theocratic and legalistic system of laws. Therefore, followers of Islam are not given a second chance if they violate the teachings of the Qur’an and the dictates of Sharia Law, which makes one wonder why anyone would call Islam the “religion of peace.”
Ultimately, if Islam does not give its followers a second chance and if Islam is not a “religion of peace,” what are some examples to prove the aforementioned premise? Some key examples are:
1. Murder, adultery, prostitution, and homosexuality: death by stoning and beheading
2. Stealing, sexual promiscuity, robbery, and burglary: amputation of limbs, floggings, and beatings.
Therefore, as these examples indicate, Islam is not a religion of the second chance. But, instead, it is a religion of hatred and vengefulness toward its own people and non-Muslims, too. In fact, Islam follows the teachings of ancient Babylonian King Hammurabi who advocated the principle of an “life for life, hand for hand, eye for eye, ears for ears, tooth for tooth, and wounds equal for equal.” As a result, Islam is not a “religion of peace” but rather a “religion of vengeance.” Also, according to Mr. Mirza, “Islam is the most supremacist and racist religion on the face on the Earth.” Mr. Mirza also stated,
Devout Muslims do believe that Islam is the only true religion and all other religions are false and not accepted by the Allah. Therefore, Muslims are more superior humans than any other humans on the earth. According to Islamic Sharia and Koranic teachings—Christians, Jewish, and all other un-believers (Hindus idolaters etc are the worst) are less humans than Muslims and their rights are not the same as the rights of Muslims. This is the very reason why pure Muslims earnestly believe that—it is the most sacred duty of the Muslims to correct, convert, or kill all non-Muslims/infidels/kaffirs to purify this earth which belongs to only Allah.
In conclusion, despite the manner in which the religion of Islam has purported hatred, disrespect, and death for non-Muslims, they expect the people of the United States to accept them, to treat them with respect, and to permit them to live by Sharia Law within the confines of America’s borders, instead of by the dictates of the U.S. Constitution. However, as discussed already, these are the same people that are mandated by their religion and law system to mistreat and even kill non-Islamic believers. Of course, since America is a Christian nation, despite the fact that President Obama, a professed Christian, purports his belief that America isn’t, Christians would treat them with respect and love. This is because Christians serve a loving and merciful God who gave His Only Begotten Son to die on the Cross of Calvary for the sins of all mankind. Unfortunately, though, the very people who rebel against God’s love and mercy are some of the same people who want Americans to accept Islam “hook, line, and sinker.” But, many of these pro-Islamic Americans would be the very ones that would be the first to be killed or maimed for their sins. With that being the case, why would anyone, especially liberal Westerners, promote and follow the dictates of Islam, the “religion of no second chance?”
