I have discovered a wonderful way to get my exercise done each day. Here it is, hope it works for you. I put in my praise music and love on Jesus. That is one of the biggest priorities of my day. I want show to Him my love for Him.
I put on my favorite praise songs and get swept away in the words of the songs. I also walk in place, put some movement with it, if it is a fast paced song, or just worship Him while swinging my hands in the air from side to side (helps the abdominals muscles). My focus is on Jesus. Itís amazing how being in His presence, even exercise can be fun and it goes by so fast, when you are talking to the Father.
Being in the presence of the Lord, for me, is like being taken out of the worries, struggles, trials and problems of everyday life. For those moments in His presence, it feels like nothing can touch me.
I have to say sometimes I get so wrapped up in prayer and praise that I forget I am exercising. I often end my time with Jesus on my knees (which, is a good cool down). The best exercise Iíve ever done. Sometimes, I get distracted and forget to keep moving, but I know that God will bless my efforts anyway.
Just a little tip I wanted to share. So if you can, Love on Jesus and lose you some weight. Either way, just make sure you get in that special time with God. Itís priceless.
