THE GREAT BEACH BARBEQUE

There are many instances when Jesus appeared and did many wonders after His resurrection. They give undeniable evidence that He physically rose from the grave. One such story is found in John 21:4-14.

The disciples were in a boat fishing. They saw someone standing on the beach, who they later recognized to be Jesus. He was, of all things, having a fish fry with charcoal. That's right, the Bible mentions charcoal. He told them to let down their nets, and when they did, they hauled in l57 large fish. Talk about a fish story.

He then invited them to have breakfast on the beach. Some breakfast that was: eating with the resurrected Christ, and frying fish caught through a miracle wrought by The Lord.

This short, little story, reveals the divinity and humanity of Christ at the same time.
It also shows how relevant and approachable Jesus was and is, to each of us. We can't even begin to imagine what it must have been like to have a beach barbeque with the risen Lord.
