During any crucial fasting and prayer program, we must develop specific goals and objectives to accomplish immediately we conclude the fast. In this special period of praying, planning and preparing, we must urge the Holy Spirit to grant us definite strategies, divinely approved for prompt and immediate execution as we conclude the fast. Be it for personal or someone’s healing, debt recovery, deliverance from demonic oppression, business idea generation, sourcing of funds or capital, salvation of someone, healing of broken relationships etc.
There must be some action plan to execute persistently as soon as we conclude the fast, because that’s the best way we PROVE OUR FAITH THAT GOD VISITED US ON THE 3RD DAY, TO RESCUE, HEAL, EMPOWER, AND BLESS US!
Then the Lord told Moses, “Go down and prepare the people for my visit. Consecrate them today and tomorrow, and have them wash their clothing. Be sure they are ready on the third day, for on that day the Lord will come down on Mount Sinai as all the people watch.
So Moses went down to the people. He consecrated them for worship, and they washed their clothes. 15 He told them, “Get ready for the third day, and until then abstain from having sexual intercourse.”
On the morning of the third day, thunder roared and lightning flashed, and a dense cloud came down on the mountain. There was a long, loud blast from a ram’s horn, and all the people trembled.
The Lord came down on the top of Mount Sinai and called Moses to the top of the mountain. So Moses climbed the mountain."
HALLELUJAH! GOD COMES DOWN TO RESCUE US, CALL US UP AND TAKE US TO THE TOP OF THE MOUNTAIN! - GLORY TO GOD!
GOD LOVES FAITH. FOR FAITH INSPIRES, INTOXICATES AND REJUVENATES GOD’S RESOLVE TO INTERVENE ON OUR BEHALF, BECAUSE ACTIVE FAITH REALLY MEANS ABSOLUTE OBEDIENCE TO GOD’S WORD, WILL, AND WAYS – HALLELUJAH! – Hebrews 11:6; Matthew 21:28-32; Deut.28:1-13.
For instance, Queen Esther’s 3 day fast was to accomplish a risky objective. God loves it when we take great risks for Him, trusting Him. The result is usually great miracles!
On the third day Esther put on her royal robes and stood in the inner court of the palace, in front of the king’s hall. The king was sitting on his royal throne in the hall, facing the entrance. When he saw Queen Esther standing in the court, he was pleased with her and held out to her the gold scepter that was in his hand. So Esther approached and touched the tip of the scepter. Then the king asked, “What is it, Queen Esther? What is your request? Even up to half the kingdom, it will be given you.”
Most times, in order to see the miraculous, we have to do the ridiculous in righteousness! Faith is risk, great faith is high risk. And great faith, being the pathway to greatness, pleases God greatly! Miracles do not show up where they're needed but where they're expected! Make that move now and don't be afraid. James 2:21-26; Isaiah 41:11-20; 2Chro.27:6.
Effectual prayer is such an expensive venture; we can't afford to engage in it in futility! Jesus left all to focus on it for 40 days & nights with fasting! Prayer and fasting enhances focus, desperation and intensity, a definite recipe for that long awaited miracle. Focused desperate people seeking God are very dangerous. They don't understand impossibilities! When your mountains seem insurmountable, intensify your demand by including fasting. Lk.5:17-26; Lk.16:16; Phil.4:6, 7; Jer.29:11-14.
Prayer coupled with fasting is very, very powerful, but without an immediate corresponding action, it becomes almost useless. It’s like being in possession of a powerful Atomic Bomb that becomes obviously ineffective without being detonated. The power is immense, but unreleased, what a pity!
Most of us fail even after much prayer, because we are waiting for the “time to be just right” before we start doing something with our plan, goal, vision or dream. Stop waiting! The” just right time” is an illusion, an insidious mirage; it doesn’t exist!
If you wait for perfect conditions, you will never get anything done.
Take a radical step of faith; ignore your feelings; like Paul the Apostle and his team did on the mission field in Act 16:6-10, and God is committed to giving you His accurate direction! Start where you stand, with what you have in hand, and you will find better resources, energy, wisdom, enthusiasm and confidence as you move on. Job 8:7; Job 17:9.
Have a wonderful day in God's awesome presence.
