Giving Love has no rules, receiving love has one: – First Give
Two questions: Who ever get love the way we want to be loved? Do you know someone who does? Why do some people get stuck on Me, Me, Me? Do you know some one like that.
Fact: So what if Mommy and Daddy did not love you the way you think you ought to have been loved. It is over. Now love others the way you wanted to be loved them, unconditionally, with total acceptance and understanding.
So what is LOVE? Self-sacrifice. Hugs and kisses and what follows, it is the icing with the cherry on top. By helping others to fulfill their dreams you build castles for yourself in Heaven. Helping others to focus on their destructive self is building ruins in the dust on earth.
When we focus on ‘self’ we are stuck. By shifting our focus and care on
what others need regardless of our own, God can and will provide
abundantly what we need – and what we ask Him for.
People who get hooked on drugs or alcohol, are the self-gratificaters, the “I want it here and now!” demanders. The ones who instant need to feel good. They have no long term vision. Now is all that matters, tomorrow someone else will provide in their need. Having to take no responsibility for where they are going, they take without giving. They suck up what they can get, and when the host is dry they move on to the next like a parasite. Those who try hard to ‘fix’ them, become so wrapped-up in that persons life, they loose sight of their own.
I agree, if you are a gambler – don’t go to a gambling house to watch a show, if you are a drinker, don’t go and order a coke at a bar. You have no place there, unless God wants you there to preach and teach the Gospel, without His assistance, you are heading for a fall. There are demonic influences in a home where there are people addicted to alcohol and drugs. People who are not strong enough may fall. Janet Lynn Eriksson from Blessings Abundant Christian Writers Ministry wrote “Left on your own, as a human, you'll find that the enemy is infinitely more powerful than you. He'll leave you crushed, broken and bleeding, and he'll do it again and again, if you let him.”
Remember demons are fallen angels too, they have already lost the battle. They have no power over our will power. If you do not Really, really want to make it, you will not. And if you really, really want to make it, you will – with prayer.
Janet Lynn Eriksson in the same essay also wrote: “Be strong in the Lord. Put on the whole armor of God, every day. Always remember: the enemy is defeated already; that's not a battle you need to fight. God has called you to be a Christian inspirational writer for Him. Don't think for a minute He will not provide everything you need, always, to fulfill His calling. Stay close to Him; stay connected”
Stop expecting people to make your life easier. Without pain, there is no gain. We need to grow emotionally, the only way is to intensely ‘feel’
the pain. Don’t run and hide like a coward and say “God I’m not strong enough!” Closer to the truth is “God I have no desire to face this, take
it away, I can not deal with this sober or not! And why should I?, make life more bearable. Please!”
Jesus did not want to face the cross, in human flesh, He was afraid, he
knew what was ahead, the pain and embarrassment, the torture. He was sweating blood in prayer. His passion was to get past it, if it meant
going through it, He would. And He did. Let us take up our cross and get over ‘Me”. Jesus did not do it for Himself – He did it for us. Pleasing
God and sacrificing self for the sake of others was His only aim.
We can not please God or serve others while we are focused on what we need before we are able to give.
