While driving to Oklahoma City on a warm May 6, 2011 morning, I found myself behind a slow car that had a funny looking bumper sticker. At first, I thought “What the heck is wrong with this driver! Doesn’t he know people have to get to work? Come on!”. Then I saw the bumper sticker up close that read: “Pray for Obama, Ps 109: 8!”
Arriving to work, I took the pocket Bible out of my glove compartment to check the Book of Psalms to the quoted verse. I found the following:
Psalm 109: 8—“Let his days be few and brief; and let others step forward to replace him.”
“Dang!” I thought. “Someone out there has found a Biblical verse appropriate for the President that I may use as a prayer!”
Therefore, let us bow our head and pray that it will be. Hey, ya’ll can I get an “Amen!” from you ya, huh!
