The Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the whole world! This revelation is awesome that no words can express the wonder of this marvellous truth.
When Christ asked his disciples who he was as there was some dispute among many of them, Peter revealed and spoke out to Jesus that indeed he was the Christ.
Jesus instead of congratulating Peter, announces fervently that indeed this knowledge had been given as a gift from the Father above and not something that Peter had worked out. Truly it is a mystery!
In an age of complicated communications en mass, I marvel at the simplicity of the gospel.
There are many doctrines, many faiths, many books, many worship songs, many of everything yet the Holy Scriptures speak that there is only One LORD, One Baptism, One God.
A one to one relationship is so much easier and simple yet how many look to lots of other gods, lots of books to read except the one that matters and I speak both of the world and of the church for indeed the church have copied the world in this respect and I would even go as far as to say have become worse. They have used Gods name to sell Him. Jesus spoke quite categorically that we should freely receive and then freely give.
I read in a magazine the other day waiting at the dentist that yet another new version of the bible has come out with pictures in, very glamerous indeed my heart sank wondering how many more versions of the Holy Scriptures would come out for indeed they are not Holy at all and completely mis-interpreted.
In an age of visual media we have reached saturation point and beyond. It is hard to find anything that is just simply natural.
As a photographer myself my eyes are always drawn to the most natural pictures with as little editing as possible, even the beauty of grasses.
I love the scripture a flower fadeth but the WORD of GOD will last forever.
When time is taken to really meditate upon Gods Word with the Holy Spirit then our hearts can be quickened.
It is a revelation and the quiet moving from God himself when He speaks to us through our hearts.
Even when we are chastised by Him I have found the words and tone loving with no condemnation at all. God knows us through and through.
He knows why we kick up a fuss about something. He knows our insecurities and hurts but there are times when we need to grow up in Him and rejoice in all the blessings bestowed upon us.
Our moving into times of growth are painful and trials are upon us from every which way but they are for a season maybe a season and a half. We either kick against God or we work and move with Him.
The rapid speed of events unfolding, even excellerating as I write is unbelievable yet still the LORD is on the throne.
We know of storms to come, of challenges ahead yet still the LORD is on the throne. God has not moved, He is still the same yesterday, today and forever. As Joshua took those tentative but bold steps with God on his own without Moses and trusted the LORD mighty works again were showed the parting of the Jordan.
Yes we are in a phase now of moving, growing up, being strengthened into mighty Joshuas. The old faithful priests of God are diminishing, some like Eli lost their way and let the oil go out they are all accountable to God themselves but our responsibility is our own lives, our own salvation before God.
We stand alone with God many times. Many have been led astray by brethren who love God but have not allowed the Holy Spirit to work differently in others' lives.
When Jesus says follow me, he literally means that to forsake others and go in the direction He wishes to take you. Sadly many have followed other leaders and missed out on the harvest that has passed.
I had a vision back in 1989 of a harvest, brilliant colours of gold, but the sky was black as though to burst with rain but the rains were held back. There were no workers in the field and the LORD revealed that the workers never came. A generation lost. Enticed by the prosperity teachings, false doctrines and feel good factors.
The grieving of the LORD over the last 40 years has been great I have wept at what He has shown me, yet not my tears but his. A lost generation.
But a new generation is to be lifted up. As David lost his son, grieved and then brought a new son into the world so God is bringing a new generation into His kingdom but this time something new, something that cannot be tampered with.
I sense very much the LORD is biding his time waiting. As the Jews waited for the first coming of the Messiah so the LORD is waiting for a time to bring about His purposes.
As Mary was still, sitting in the house waiting for Jesus to come to her brother Lazarus so now is Jesus waiting delaying to bring many old and dry bones to life. Many have tried to do Jesus work for Him yet even He spoke that he could raise up stones!
Trust and wait upon the LORD, grieve not the Holy Spirit, Wait for the Commanders call to cross over the Jordan. How long do we wait? As long as it takes until we hear the WORD.
If you died today, are you absolutely certain that you would go to heaven? You can be! TRUST JESUS NOW
