I hesitate to write down here
A glimpse of such a special day
To try to form, with words alone,
A picture of such majesty.
The colours that have passed before
Our ever wondering open eyes,
Design and beauty, so much more,
Than I can capture in these lines.
But I will try, with talent rough
To describe glorious Keuekenhof...
Swathes of yellow, red and white,
Interspersed with pink and blue,
Purples, lilacs, pale and bright,
Abundant shades of varying hue.
Dazzling colour, sweeping lines,
Planted by a skilful hand,
Perennial and bulb combines
In one amazing garden land,
Such jottings poor and coarsely rough
Cannot describe real Keukenhof.
Daffs, Hyacinths, Narcissi bloom
Their sweeted scents rich perfume bring
But all hold back and make most room
For Tulips – Keukenhof’s true king:
Upright and stately, tall and grand
They blaze and bow to every guest,
Each adding to the massing band
Of beauty at its very best.
I can’t say more, you need to see,
I always will, with memory .
If you died today, are you absolutely certain that you would go to heaven? You can be! TRUST JESUS NOW
