I love my Mum
I love my Dad
They love me
Even when I'm bad
Like when I smashed Mum's new crystal vase
Trampled on the cat
Walked a field-full of mud on the brand spanking new, lemon yellow, deep pile expensive bathroom mat
Sat on Auntie Nora's old wedding day hat
And squirted Uncle Bert with a concoction of mud, green slime from the bottom of the old fishpond, cooking oil and gooey stuff like that!
I love my Mum
I love my Dad
They love me
Even when I'm bad
Like yesterday morning at half past three
When I needed to 'go'
Urgent-lee
But tripped over my skates that lay on the stairs
Caught the dog in the door by her tail hairs
Then caught my finger in the jam of the door
Cried out for help
More and more
Then in came Mum and in came Dad
And cuddled and cared
Even though I'd been bad
For love is stronger
Than the baddest dude
Even if you're sometimes incredibly rude
Stronger even than the strongest super glue
I love my Mum
I love my Dad
They're the bestest parents
I've ever had!
