When we here the words "receiving the light", what do they truly mean? Is it the light that comes from our Saviour, Jesus Christ,
who made the ultimate sacrifice by giving his life for our eternal salvation? Is it the light that comes from the first few steps as we
begin our walk of faith? We can try and interpret these three glorious words and probably have a never ending discussion; but the
most important thing to remember is this: we all have been blessed and provided with God's abundant graces; that light shines for
all of God's children; all we have to do is follow that light with faith in our hearts, knowing and trusting that what we will find will
fill our lives with our Saviour's unfailing love.
Jesus wants us to reach out with our hands; he wants us to reach out with our hearts; he wants us to reach out with our faith and
trust, he wants and desires to have an intimate friendship with all of us. To know that Jesus Christ, our Saviour, has so much love
for us in his heart, is a gift that cannot be measured; it is the most precious gift that we can be given; do not take this gift for
granted, please see it for what it truly is; reach out and receive the light of love that shines in your heart; it is all around you; it is
in the depths of our souls, which Jesus wants to fill with his unconditional love.
Jesus wants us to experience his boundless love, to see his shining countenance all around us in our lives. The more you place your
faith in our Saviour, he will show himself to you in countless ways; he will fill your lives with blessings and graces which will over-
whelm your heart and bring peace to your soul.
My prayer to all of you is that you may have the strength and vision to see our Saviour's light; that it may guide you down your
chosen path, and that it will replenish your heart and forever shine with love.
