Would you sit by idle and let roaches invade your house? Upon seeing one, or two, or three, what would you do?
After two generations more than 10,000 offspring can be traced back to a single female cockroach. They are attracted to garbage, and will thrive in a filthy environment. Roaches hide in the darkness of night, but can be seen during the day if there is an infestation. Cracks or crevices are the usual hiding place until they come out to feed.
Just like a house infested with roaches, my life as a sinner was overrun with devils. They hid in the darkness of my iniquity, because they are attracted to sin. They concealed themselves in the cracks and crevices of pride and self-righteousness. The devils multiplied in number, and gained strength each passing day I failed to have them exterminated. It got so bad that I got use to having them around. God’s people would tell me, “Hey James, can you see you are covered in roaches? Don’t you care?” I didn’t, not really. I thought I had the roaches under control. I was comfortable in my state. I had no idea how bad the walls of my heart plagued with these filthy scavengers. I finally realized a change was needed. I needed to clean my house!
I tried R.A.I.D., RATIONAL ANSWERS and INEFFECTIVE DIAGNOSIS’S. That didn’t work. In fact, the R.A.I.D. had NO effect.
A preacher told me the only thing these roaches would fear is The Light! "Turn on The Light and the roaches WILL scatter!" He made it sound so easy. "Just turn on The Light!"
I had heard about this Light before, but never tried it. I figured I had nothing to lose since everything else was a complete failure. He told me about his own experience with roaches, and guaranteed if The Light worked for him, it would work for me.
It’s been 15 years since I’ve had roaches living in my house! Hallelujah! Every now and then they try another invasion, but they can’t stand the Light of Christ!
As a preacher, I have been telling everyone I can about the roaches that can’t be killed with the world’s RAID. I can sense the roaches hate to see me coming, but what can I say…I’m an exterminator and that’s what I do!
If you are reading this and have not accepted Christ, The Light of the world, as your Lord and Savior…how long will you live with the roaches?
They will keep crawling all over you. They won’t stop the assault. They go in your ears so you can’t hear the Word. They get in your eyes so you can’t see the Truth. They invade your nose so you can’t breathe the Life. They go in your mouth so you can't speak the Word.
Turn on the Light! It’s the only chance you got!
