THE SAINTS OF OLD
The saints of old sung the songs
That brought them through the fire
They're still as fresh today as then
Still lift the spirit's higher
And soar they do, soar they do
Reaching their highest notes
Sends the strains to the hearts
Blessing all the folks
The words of hymns, from the Word
The message to the letter
Changes something on the inside
Making a person better
Drawing from the heart of man
A swift and sure belief
That trusting in the Son of God
Brings a sinner relief
Turn to number such and such
Stand and let us sing
Praises to our God above
Praise Him in everything
Now let the song of jubilant heart
Rejoice through all its days
Jesus saved me from my sin
He deserves all praise
