A lot of resources go into obtaining a title. This may be in kind, in cash or both. Prices are paid emotionally, financially and spiritually. After obtaining it, it becomes a thing of pride to most people. Although, a common truth is “the value of what we don’t have is greater than when we have it”.
A title may not take long before it loses its value; this makes man to gun for another or higher title(s). One thing is sure; a lot of resources are invested in getting them.
Do you know what? There is a title that man in general hates. Man does not love to talk about it. Man fears it. A mention of it makes man to show remorse for a while but he soon forgets about it.
All other titles may not go round every man but there’s one title that is freely given to everybody in the due season. No competition for it. No election is involved. No struggling for it. All that you need is work for it on your own. Whichever way you want, it has costs.
What is this title? “Late …” Do you tremble at this? To those of us who are followers of Jesus Christ, there is nothing to fear in it. Each Christian prepares daily, hourly and each minute for that day when this title will take over from worldly titles we have. Reason: every serious saint must be convinced beyond reasonable and unreasonable doubt that he or she is in the world and not of the world. Our focus is Philippians 3:20 that reads,
“F or our conversation (citizenship) is in heaven; from whence also we look for the savior, the Lord Jesus Christ”. (King James Version)
“But our homeland is in heaven. We are waiting for our savior to come from heaven. Our savior is the Lord Jesus Christ”. Therefore, addition of this final title “Late…” to our chains of titles only tells others left behind that we have gone to our homeland.
The essential question now is: How prepared are you for The Final Title “Late”…?
How is your walk and standing before your Lord? Psalm 15:1-2a read,
“Lord, who shall abide in thy tabernacle? Who shall dwell in thy holy hill?
He that walk eth uprightly, and work eth righteousness, and speak eth the truth in his heart”.
Are you walking and working in line with these verses? Can you boldly say like the Psalmist?
“Therefore hath the Lord recompensed me according to my righteousness, according to the cleanness of my hands in his eye sight” Psalm 18:24
Are you like Prophet Elisah who rejects ungodly gifts (untimely gifts) with such words as.
“As the Lord lives, before whom I stand, I will receive none”
“Late…” the final title will be given to you, how prepared are you for this? Prepare according to the Biblical resources at your disposal. Prepare each day, hour and minute until you meet the Lord.
