There is a fee/price we must pay to be re-connected to any service that we’ve been disconnected from. Once we pay this fee the re-connection process begins and we’ll once more have access to this service.
SIN = Disconnection from God DEATH[1] = Fee/Price for sin and re-connection with God. [To reconnect with God we must pay the re-connection fee.]
The cross represents re-connection with God because the price of sin is DEATH and Jesus paid it, by dying on the cross. He paid the debt we owed which is DEATH. Therefore, death in the context of the cross represents the debt we owed—the re-connection fee. So the death has been paid and we are now reconnected to God; having access to all the riches of The Kingdom.
When we look to the cross we see all that Jesus had to suffer for us. It hurts, to look at the cross. However, looking beyond the cross helps us to understand the re-connection process and see beauty on the horizon.
To receive the Holy Spirit we had to lose Jesus, physically[2]. His power within us helps us to rise out of every dead situation in our lives, just as He rose from the grave[3]. When we face difficult situations or losses in our lives, it will hurt and everyone deals with their pain in different ways, but it helps to know that Jesus has already faced them on our behalf and overcame. Victory is ours, so don’t give up! Let the process of grieving run its natural course and in rising we’ll be stronger than we were before.
We have already overcome[4]—it’s just a process we’re going through.
Powerful! I never heard it put like that...a reconnection fee, that seems to be the beginnings of a sermon dearheart....but I'm certain you know that...or perhaps you were waiting on a confirmation....Teacher and mighty warrior of God...I've missed your writings...glad to have you back
And praise God it was a "one time only" fee!! We just have to remember to keep acknowledging the fact it is all paid and we are free to live in LIFE forever :) Nice work, Janice
