I saw a cat snatch an animal as swift as a sparrow in flight. Without a sound it was gone!
In a world full of sights and of sounds, many things such as this pass inconspicuously out of sight.
My first thought was to focus on the poor little thing. Why did that bloodthirsty and barbaric cat do such a vicious thing? It did not look as if it were starving, or anything such as that, no sorrow. I thought that cat was a scamp, clad in a fur coat.
Ah, but what was I thinking? Its victim was probably a rat, king of opposition to that cat.
What kind of world would subsist without a carnivorous cat such as that? Rats could flourish out of control, with no obstructions to stop such an absurd and harmful population growth.
Just a minute ago, I hated that cat, but thatís not such a bad cat - fast, smart and good looking at that!
