Have you ever noticed how we as a people, yes even God’s people always seem to be in a place of striving? We possess such a work mentality that even as the Lord s calling us into His rest w still fell that we need to do something more to gain further approval, we need to work harder to get that miracle and that famous lie form the devil that says if things are going wrong I must have done something to deserve it or I am not doing enough to deserve it. This, my sisters and brothers could not be further from God’s Truth.
Hebrews 12:2 We do this by keeping our eyes on Jesus, the champion who initiates and perfects our faith. Because of the joy awaiting him, he endured the cross, disregarding its shame. Now he is seated in the place of honor beside God’s throne.
Ephesians 1:19-21 "And [so that you can know and understand] what is the immeasurable and unlimited and surpassing greatness of His power in and for us who believe, as demonstrated in the working of His mighty strength, 20Which He exerted in Christ when He raised Him from the dead and seated Him at His [own] right hand in the heavenly [places], 21Far above all rule and authority and power and dominion and every name that is named [above every title that can be conferred], not only in this age and in this world, but also in the age and the world which are to come."
Ephesians 2:3-7 “All of us also lived among them at one time, gratifying the cravings of our flesh and following its desires and thoughts. Like the rest, we were by nature deserving of wrath. 4 But because of his great love for us, God, who is rich in mercy, 5made us alive with Christ even when we were dead in transgressions—it is by grace you have been saved. 6 And God raised us up with Christ and seated us with him in the heavenly realms in Christ Jesus, 7 in order that in the coming ages he might show the incomparable riches of his grace, expressed in his kindness to us in Christ Jesus."
The scripture says that Jesus sat down in a place of victory and that we are seated in heavenly places with Him. Do you get the revelation? If our Savior is seated in a place of victory and we have been seated with Him then it means that we are NOW seated in a place of victory. What does that mean to us? It means that we can cease our striving to do more, be more and work more. There is no more to be done because Jesus has done it all; He has completed the work. This means we can sit down in a posture of relaxation, having accomplished the task, and we can rest from our labors. That is what Jesus did when He sat down; He declared that His assignment was complete and having accomplished the will of His Father He ceased from His labor and sat down.
As the Lord was giving me this revelation He also said to me so many of the scriptures that we cling to as encouragement fully supports the fact that we are a people who live, move and have our being from a place of the “finished work”. For example:
Ephesians 2:6 “For he raised us from the dead along with Christ and seated us with him in the heavenly realms because we are united with Christ Jesus.”
Isaiah 53:5 "But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed."
Romans 7:6 “But now we are delivered from the law, that being dead wherein we were held; that we should serve in newness of spirit, and not in the oldness of the letter.”
John 3:17 "For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved."
These scriptures are all past tense. They are indicative that the described task has already been done. This means that in the spirit realm they have already occurred. In other words we believe and stand for our healing from a place of already being healed. We work out our salvation from a place of already being saved. We trust God for our deliverance from the place of already being delivered. And this is not some sought of blind faith, this is standing on the only work that will ever matter to the Father and that is the finished work of Christ Jesus.
This is a shift in perspective that requires Holy Spirit. I am healed because Jesus has the victory of My healing. The Word says healing is the children’s bread so in order to be satisfied by healing we must eat of it. When Jesus said it was finished, He meant that it was finished so we can cease from our own labors because they count for nothing eternal. Our faithful obedience to the call of God on our lives also completely rests in the finished work of Jesus. The greater works that Jesus says we shall do are also established only upon the finished work of Jesus. In other words you cannot add to what He has done, you walk in what He has done. All things have already been established; they have been established and sealed upon the Cross
We even see the foreshadow of these things in the Old Testament when God would tell Moses, David, and the Prophets I have gone before you and given you the victory, do not be afraid, only trust, be of good courage I have given you the victory. The Word of the Lord is the same to us today. Father is saying in My Son I have given you the victory so do not be afraid, He has gone before you. He holds the victory in His hands and having accomplished My will He sits down in all victory. And now you also have the victory. His victory gives you victory. His victory is your victory.
Jeremiah 1:5 “I knew you before I formed you in your mother’s womb. Before you were born I set you apart and appointed you as my prophet to the nations.”
One of the issues we struggle with as Believers’ is knowing without wavering that God not only numbers our days but that every second of everyday is ordained of Him. The mercies of God are new every morning and regardless of our outward condition we must continually we are blessed (Luke 6:22) because we are His in Christ. We have to continually reap our inheritance from the seated place of victory and honor being fully persuaded that “It is finished” (John 19:30)
Strive only for His Rest
Hebrews 4:9-11 (AMP) “So then, there is still awaiting a full and complete Sabbath-rest reserved for the [true] people of God; 10For he who has once entered [God's] rest also has ceased from [the weariness and pain] of human labors, just as God rested from those labors peculiarly His own. 11Let us therefore be zealous and exert ourselves and strive diligently to enter that rest [of God, to know and experience it for ourselves], that no one may fall or perish by the same kind of unbelief and disobedience [into which those in the wilderness fell].”
Being seated with Christ is the place of rest and the scripture says it has already been reserved for us. The rest of God is the only thing that we must strive after. Even in doing so the scripture says that it has already been reserved for us. This means that the rest of God and all its benefits have been booked in advanced. The rest has been set aside for a specific purpose and we know that purpose to be so that we can confidently know that God has ordained all things and truly no matter what our situations may dictate He is working all things together for our eternal and earthly good. You are seated in heavenly places with Christ Jesus this means in Christ we have been made alive, no longer doomed to death because of our sinful nature and we have an inheritance that cannot and will not rot or fade. And so all things are available for the asking because our God shall provide for all of our needs out of His riches in glory by Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:19). Know your position. Go, pursue, overtake and recover all. (1 Samuel 30:8)
And the Lord says be bold and very courageous. Do not be afraid for you have been seated in your place of victory. Your position is already established for you are seated in heavenly places. Precious one you are spiritually and by your position in Me more than a conqueror. You are already healed. You are already delivered, set free, set- apart and consecrated because you are seated in heavenly places with your Savior. You are not warring from a place of defeat in order to apprehend your victory. You are warring from a place of victory standing firm as you apprehend all the Son has done. He has sat down because the work is finished. You cannot add to it and no devil can subtract from it. It is in its totality completely perfect. In this seated place there is all power, all truth and the fullness of the God-head. This is why I can tell the devil to give back what he has stolen because My Son has been given all power and all authority; everything in heaven and earth belongs to Him. That is why I can tell you to pursue, to overtake and to recover all because it all rightfully belongs to you because you belong to Jesus. As I have said you were established before the foundation of the world because Jesus existed before the foundation of the world. I spoke even to David and said I have already given you the victory because it rightfully belonged to him and he just needed to walk in it by faith. With complete trust and belief in My declared Word all things are yours and that is why it is impossible to please Me with faith. Today you must know your position; you are positioned in victory. Now I say t o you filter every day of your life from this place of victory. Your perspective will grant you freedom as you come to know who you are in Me and where you are in Me. You are in a posture of rest, resting with your Savior. As you receive this revelation you will be empowered to cease from your earthly striving and working and doing to get your healing and get your victory. Beloved I say it again it is rightfully yours because you belong to Me and I have given you all things in Christ Jesus. So if you must strive, strive in apprehending this truth; you are already an over comer, you are already victorious you have already been made prosperous, you are the King’s kid and I own all things and will freely give it unto you. Know your position. You are above and not beneath you are the head and not the tail. When I see you I see Jesus because you have claimed Him as your Lord and Savior. Therefore, ask, seek and knock it is your Father’s good pleasure to give you the entire Kingdom.
