Realm of Our Dreams
Dreams blend yesterday with tomorrow,
random thoughts of the day just passed,
filled with excitement, pain and sorrow,
illusion and fantasy never meant to last.
From the realm of reality to an illusion,
vivid images dance in shadows of light,
leaving us lost in dismay and confusion,
never empathizing the wrong from right.
Peaceful slumber disrupted without a clue,
beyond sleep’s door one’s heart will race,
surreal action, with excitement, who knew,
moving so intensely set to a deadly pace.
Standing alone ever lost the essence of time,
moving at it’s own rate down the dark hall,
existing in the realm of subconscious mind,
people and places unrelated, short and tall.
We talk, we listen, we dance, we even run,
from romance to anger we fight, we play,
so real, sometimes scary, sometimes fun,
lived in a different dimension of the day.
