On that fateful night, my activities centered on my new blog-www.4thlink.wordpress.com.
A brother came to interrupt me. It was painful. He said, “Daddy, you must call these brothers and friends (John and James) to order before they start exchanging blows”.
The bone of contention was a mobile phone battery and a malfunctioning handset.
Bro John accused bro James of changing the battery in his own handset. So he was ready to, by all means, retrieve it.
Bro James denied this. He declared that nothing was wrong with bro John’s battery and therefore not ready to give John another. They have already started shouting on and holding each other by the neck.
As their Pastor, I know what they’ve been fed with as far as the Word of God is concerned. I was not happy with this “non-issue” becoming a “big issue”.
As I was listening half-heartedly to their stories, and thinking more of a way out of the mess, these verses came to my mind and I was happy.
Luke 6:27-29; Matt 5:38-41; John 15:13-15.
After their stories, I quoted these verses to them as the Holy Spirit collated them for use. I briefly explained these verses to them.
The Holy Spirit helped me to conclude thus. “If you understand this thing, Go and be Christians”.
The duo, with one standing on my left side and the other on my right side, stood glued to the same spot for not less than five minutes, although I left them alone to urinate. On my return, they both said, “Thank you sir”. And left.
What followed really gladdened my heart. A few minutes later, I heard them laughing together and walking as Christian brothers and friends.
Do you know that Satan looks for a tiny opening through which to cause discord and confusion every where and anytime? How peaceful will our homes, offices, community, nation and the world he will be if we can all “Go and be Christians”?
Who is a Christians? Act 11:26(d) states, “And the disciples were first called Christians in Antioch.
A Christian must be a disciple of Jesus Christ at all times.
Think about it, where have you acted or are you acting in a way that you do not resemble a disciple of the Lord?
Is there any issue challenging your faith? Always remember to “Go and be a Christian”.
