Empty, alone and isolated,
Robbed of all hope.
So much strength wasted,
Putting in effort to cope.
Day comes after day,
Just as bad, or worse.
How big the long for joy,
How painful the thirst.
Clothed in depression,
Like wearing the stress.
Question after question,
“How much longer the test?”
Even doubting God,
Creator of the universe.
Can He really heal?
Can He kill this curse?
All hopes lost forever,
Joy’s a thing of the past.
Spirit’s barely breathing,
Living only just.
That’s our mentality,
In our negative mind.
Falling in calamity,
Like we’re lost, and can’t be found.
We’re quick to doubt,
Quick to stop life.
So easily give up,
When we hit some strife.
Like the Israelites,
Rescued from slavery.
Crossing the red sea,
Then turning to idolatry.
We doubt God quick,
We lose hold of Him.
Giving faith a flick,
As soon as the lights dim.
But there’s still hope,
Light in the darkness.
Just focus for the end,
Prayer is your harness.
Focus on the Christ,
Remember the blessings.
Always think positive,
And don’t stop pressing.
God is always faithful,
Even if we don’t see.
Jesus gave it all,
So God will never flee.
Falling seven times,
Godly people fall.
But getting up the eighth,
Those staying faithful.
God never lets go,
It is us who do.
But think positive,
God’s next to you.
