Have you ever had the feeling you should not be in that place,
where the walls surrounding you emit a terrible disgrace?
Overcramped old furniture the Salvo's would reject?
The atmosphere was throbbing with a pulse of sheer neglect!
'I've lived here three whole years" said my client with sheer pride.
Her University Degree, she did not wish to hide.
Yet, I was not impressed to find myself immersed in filth.
I wanted my home, my own warmth in cottage printed quilts!
'Now, come and meet my chickens' said my client;'Mind your step'.
The grass was ankle high, what I had stepped on, please forget!
The fences groaned with age, I think the termites would agree that they're not worth pursuing, any longer, yes, I see!
My client states; 'I would not mind a superficial clean'.
Observing her, I wondered what exactly did she mean?
Excuses bubble through my blood, but could not meet my tongue.
Politeness then took over, as my two feet want to run!
At last, I make my exit, shake my head, began to laugh!
All she had to offer was remedial massage!
University, it took to grant her a degree,
I wondered why no tutor ever taught her to be clean?
