*Pastors-in-crisis--------Gaining the whole world and loosing your home and SOUL
Therefore take heed to yourselves and to all the flock, among which the Holy Spirit has made you overseers, to shepherd the church of God which He purchased with His own blood.
29 For I know this, that after my departure savage wolves will come in among you, not sparing the flock.
30 Also from among yourselves men will rise up, speaking perverse things, to draw away the disciples after themselves.
31 Therefore watch, and remember that for three years I did not cease to warn everyone night and day with tears.
1This is a faithful saying: If a man desires the position of a bishop, he desires a good work.
2 A bishop then must be blameless, the husband of one wife, temperate, sober-minded, of good behavior, hospitable, able to teach;
3 not given to wine, not violent, not greedy for money, but gentle, not quarrelsome, not covetous;
4 one who rules his own house well, having his children in submission with all reverence
5 (for if a man does not know how to rule his own house, how will he take care of the church of God?);
6 not a novice, lest being puffed up with pride he fall into the same condemnation as the devil.
7 Moreover he must have a good testimony among those who are outside, lest he fall into reproach and the snare of the devil.
Qualifications of Deacons
8 Likewise deacons must be reverent, not double-tongued, not given to much wine, not greedy for money,
9 holding the mystery of the faith with a pure conscience.
10 But let these also first be tested; then let them serve as deacons, being found blameless.
11 Likewise, their wives must be reverent, not slanderers, temperate, faithful in all things.
12 Let deacons be the husbands of one wife, ruling their children and their own houses well.
13 For those who have served well as deacons obtain for themselves a good standing and great boldness in the faith which is in Christ Jesus.
Around the world the magnitude of the situation surrounding issues in and about the church is disappointing and worrisome.
From the leadership through the congregation, stories unfold of sins that should be condemned even in the circular world but is predominant in our days in the ‘body of Christ’
Some, because of zeal and honest dedication to the “work” of God, neglect their duties even in their homes and also ignore their primary role to their spouse and children
The church should be a pace setter to the world but the opposite seems to be the case and even in situations where the church should speak out and totally condemn issues of morality in societies, the ‘body’ and leadership is either quiet or none committal in response , “in order not to ruffle any feathers”
Societies that “claim” to be Christian and believing in the true God only, are not to be seen as genuine examples of what they proclaim but rather as tyrannical and oppressive whilst the church leaders never utter a word against the activities of their governments but seat in their VERY comfortable and well furnished empires…….I mean CHURCHES!
The man who lies and lives like a righteous man but in his closet are found the most ABOMINABLE things that eyes have not yet beheld, shall be judged one day.
The true believer endures indescribable pain and suffers unnecessary troubles within the ‘body’ because of the careless and often selfish attitude of so-called ‘men-of-God’ and supposed shepherd who are too occupied with the things of this world than the issues of the KINGDOM to come
Matthew 13:10- 15
10 And the disciples came and said to Him, “Why do You speak to them in parables?”
11 He answered and said to them, “Because it has been given to you to know the mysteries of the kingdom of heaven, but to them it has not been given.
12 For whoever has, to him more will be given, and he will have abundance; but whoever does not have, even what he has will be taken away from him.
13 Therefore I speak to them in parables, because seeing they do not see, and hearing they do not hear, nor do they understand.
14 And in them the prophecy of Isaiah is fulfilled, which says:
‘ Hearing you will hear and shall not understand,
And seeing you will see and not perceive;
15 For the hearts of this people have grown dull.
Their ears are hard of hearing,
And their eyes they have closed,
Lest they should see with their eyes and hear with their ears,
Lest they should understand with their hearts and turn,
So that I should]heal them’
16 But blessed are your eyes for they see, and your ears for they hear;
17 for assuredly, I say to you that many prophets and righteous men desired to see what you see, and did not see it, and to hear what you hear, and did not hear it.
30 Let both grow together until the harvest, and at the time of harvest I will say to the reapers, “First gather together the tares and bind them in bundles to burn them, but gather the wheat into my barn.”’”
Applying SCRIPTURAL PRINCIPLES will untangle a string of sorrows!
