20 But lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust doth corrupt , and where thieves do not break through nor steal :
21 For where your treasure is , there will your heart be also.
Something i like about this is that for most of our lives, we've been locked up either in work related issues or things like that; and when Jesus Christ comes, he comes with the message of a journey to heaven. A journey called life.
Many, on seeing him, are at the point of settling into this world. Work is about to be the best "job" he/she would have ever done. A deal would be at the brink of being mature. It then gets hard to think that all has to be surrendered. One thinks "i must be losing a lot". And those that fear, they lose out. Those that stick to God win!!!
What we gained by the Lord saving us is Life. What we lost was pain. What we never realized was that this "life" was just the long journey to an unbearable pain. Jesus Christ solved, and gave us the benefit of the pain he faced.
He made us who we are. He gave us a better journey and the precious destination of eternal life. How great he is our God, Lord and Savior. in Jesus Christ name, Amen.
