THE POWER OF REVELATION
“God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Ghost and with power: who went about doing good, and healing all that were oppressed of the devil; for God was with him.” As the eyes of John G. Lake caught the words of Acts 10:38, it suddenly hit him. God was not responsible for his wife’s ill-fated condition. The devil was behind it. Just as God was with Jesus Christ, God was with John. Not only that. He was willing to rescue Jennie (John’s wife) from Death’s grip through His son, John.
He was so convinced of the reality of God’s Word that he knelt beside his wife and prayed. When he did, the power of God descended on her and permeated her entire body. Her heartbeat became normal, the paralysis left, the coughing ceased, her breathing regulated and her temperature became normal-immediately.
This is the power of revelation. This is what happens when we discover the truth of God’s Word. When the Spirit of God opens our eyes to His Word, we gain access to God’s promises for us. Although every promise from God is for the benefit of all His children, not all of them enjoy those promises.
As long as we live in the dark as far as the Word of God is concerned, the devil will deprive us of God’s Promises. When we are ignorant, we will mistake the diabolical acts of Satan for the perfect will of God.
Today marks a turning point in your life. The Lord will open the eyes of your heart. As you read the Bible, you will know the truth. Faith will leap into your heart. Where you have failed, you will succeed. Congratulations.
