IF ONLY YOU KNEW MY STORY
My story, His story…………..
I travailed through the thick and thin of life’s tempestuous waters
All the storms of life barged and pummeled me to a stupor yet;
I held on and strived, hoping and knowing that one day, ALL SHALL BE WELL
You judge and envy me now, giving no thought to where I’m coming from
If only you knew my story
Everyone has a story but mine stands out in the bunch
I have come a long way before I got here
Why cause me discomfort, sorrow and pain
Why look at my now with jealousy and disdain
Why do you envy what and who I am in the moment?
If only you knew my story
Without rationale you torment me and traumatize my efforts
Wondering why I can smile and have head-held-up-high
You think, ‘NO ONE SHOULD HAVE IT ALL THAT GOOD’
You believe you have all the problems in the world and me not
But I, on the other hand just have a COOL and CALM mien all of the time
This irritates and annoys you while you do not even know half my story!
A Christian Brethren? I would say otherwise
Romans 12:9-13
9 Let love be without hypocrisy. Abhor what is evil. Cling to what is good.
10 Be kindly affectionate to one another with brotherly love, in honor giving preference to one another; 11 not lagging in diligence, fervent in spirit, serving the Lord;
12 rejoicing in hope, patient in tribulation, continuing steadfastly in prayer;
13 distributing to the needs of the saints, given to hospitality.
You! Even my “brother and sister” in the church are not left out
You seek every opportunity to pull-me-down
Jealousy and envy eats you raw each time you set eyes on me
I run a mile away because of you, from, rather than, into the house of God for refuge
My story, His story; pain, persecution, oppression, deceit…….
His peace passeth the understanding of men even in the most turbulent storms
My story, His story….. Victory is the light at the end of every tunnel
