No mere man could take my place
And die on Calvary
But God Himself came in the flesh
To pay my penalty
Sin extracted from our lives
The life we had been given
Doomed us to an eternal hell
Robbed us of true living
But God, but God, deemed to save
The men He had created
Became the sacrificial Lamb
To this fact He stated
I am come that ye might have life
Have it more abundant
Praise Him ye saints His sight is Glorious
Live in Him triumphant
Blood redeemed us from our sin
In Him there is remission
Transformation by His Spirit
How great to be forgiven
My transgressions of the past
Like, a fallen cloke to me
Now clothed in His righteousness
O Glory, I am free
Take that Word to others
Tell them near and far
Tell them about Jesus
The Bright and Morning Star
Bring them to the Saviour
For sinners He came to save
Tell them of His love for them
So great His life He gave.
