WHAT WORSHIP DOES -
It’s not what it does for God but it is for our own good that we are commanded to worship! Although He deserves it, God cannot be added to or subtracted from by anyone giving or withholding due worship. Worship benefits us because worship -
Wraps us in a garment of comfort. Is 61:3

Fills us with God’s Spirit Ep 5:18
“One thing have I desired of the LORD, that will I seek after; that I may dwell in the house of the LORD all the days of my life, to behold the beauty of the LORD, and to enquire in his temple. Ps 27:4
DAVID SAW A BEAUTY OF HOLINESS IN JESUS AND BY WORSHIPPING GOD EVERY DAY IT TRANSFORMED HIM INTO A GLORIOUS SAINT!
When a man has read and discovered David’s singing, worshipping heart in the Psalms he can close his Bible and look no further, for he has found the very purpose of why he was created.
There will be no more need to preach to that man about his sin or his fallen nature. You will not hold his interest in your discussions about prosperity, miracles or any other matters.
There will be no more need for the sun to shine, nor for the moon to rise upon him for the Dayspring has come to give light to him who sat in darkness.
There will be no more need for rivers to flow for he has quenched his thirst at the Fountain of Living Waters. All other wells that the world drinks from are only broken cisterns that hold no water.
There will be no more need to put bread upon that mans table for he has found his hunger satisfied by the Bread of Life. If you tell him he must eat he will reply will be, “I have meat that you know not of.”
He is fellowshipping with angels, living among green pastures, camping besides still waters, feasting at a table in the midst of his enemies, lacking nothing and about to be overtaken by two more angels named Goodness and Mercy.
All the while your lips are beating the air his mind is dreaming, “One thing have I desired of the Lord and will I seek after that I may dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of my life to behold the Beauty of the Lord and to enquire in his temple.” Ps 27:4
The reason God gives worship so much importance is that everything else you do as a Christian is only but a means to this end. All your study, all your prayers, all your devotions are beneath this grand virtue and are to prepare you for it. Worship is the highest perfection of a divine life.
For these reasons I urge you to make worship the center of your Christian life.
