One day I wandered through a quiet field
And picked a bright flower as I kneeled
Yet, despite its beauty I began to cry
Realizing now this precious flower would die
But oh to have a second chance
There relish the splendor of its bloom
Never intend such beauty die
Yet allow to grow as love pass bye
O’ we may say we listen, yet truly never learn
‘Til comes that darkened day when life’s glass table turns
Lost in a sea of sorrow, hearts broken cry in vain
“Oh God please just give me one more chance again!”
Now as love for selfish pleasure only harvests such mistakes
I struggle to give back this flower yet never shall my love save
Thus, the beauty of one flower my mind can only hold
While mortal imperfection be ever learning to grow
