When it pleases Jesus to select a Bride,
He seeks a vessel, worthy to reside,
As Immortal God and Eternal King,
His station requires a Resplendent Queen;
The finished product must only resemble,
A Divine Habitation in a Living Temple;
So by wisdom moved that created worlds,
By lavished mercies and graces unfurled,
By patient art and tender flair,
He frames and fashions with sweetest care,
Till one day when He deems best,
We’ll enter into Everlasting Rest;
Tis there He wins and displays his Prize,
The Bride of Christ shared Ruler of the Skies;
Angels beholding her Winning Graces, her Majestic Mein,
So dazzling in Brightness and Purity Supreme,
She’ll share His Throne, for she’s now His Queen!
