God has a wonderful plan and purpose for you and he expects you to have an expectation in order to receive from him. He said when you pray, desire and believe you have received your prayer request (Mark 11:24). I tell you - there is a great power in expectation. God's word says he can do exceeding, abundantly above all we ask or think according to the power that works in us (Ephesians 3:20). That power is the power of expectation in you and I. If we would believe God, he will do great things in our lives.
I love the scriptures that tells us that - the expectation of the righteous would not be cut off (Proverbs 23:18) and the one that says - hope makes not ashamed (Romans 5:5). Isn't that wonderful? You don't have to be ashamed of your faith in Christ. We would have been miserable people if our hope in Christ was in vain. But thanks be to God who causes us to triumph in all things so that we can boldly say - there is a raising up when people all around us are saying there is a casting down. Hallelujah! Glory be to God !!
